Come see my pilot

Only three more chances to see UNDER ANDREA, the pilot David Isaacs and I wrote for Fox and NBC that has been adapted into a play.  It's part of a program of three passed over pilots called DEAD PILOTS SOCIETY at the Whitefire Theatre in Sherman Oaks.   Very funny stuff and the theatre is air conditioned!

It plays Monday night and the following two Mondays.

Discount tickets for the last two weeks are still available.  Here's where you go.

Some other tickets remain for Monday night's show.  Here's where you go.

Here's what the critics say:

"Best comedy I've seen in thirty-two years."
-- Brooks Atkinson

"So funny you could hear my laughter all the way from heaven."
-- Walter Kerr

If you do come, stop by and say hello.  Thanks!

Bring it East and I'll come (or pay my airfare, and I'll definitely come).
Disappointed Clive Barnes wasn't sitting with Kerr for the review.

I would definitely be there if I was in Hollywood as it looks great value entertainment. Unfortunately I'm in poor old Hollywood North so I can only hope it travels. All the best!

Hi Ken,

Friday question. MASH question. I am in the process of rewatching MASH from beginning to end on Netflix. I've reached the beginning of Season 4, where BJ and Col. Potter joined the show. At the start of that season it is established that Frank has replaced Henry as the commander of the 4077 before Potter then arrives to replace Frank. My question is -- was there ever any thought given making Frank the permanent commander? It seems as if that had happened, it might have made Frank a stronger antagonist for Hawkeye and BJ because he would have had more official power (and more ways) to make their lives miserable and they would have had a strong hostile authority figure to rebel against. Although I do suppose that might have also made the show more of a traditional service comedy. Anyway, I was just wondering...

Saw Edna, Dorothy and George S. the other day, and they said you and David Isaacs would have fit right in.

Frank, take the 150/240 bus from the Universal City Red line station. No trouble at all. Plenty of fun with all three pilots.

I'll be there tomorrow night. Looking forward to it.

"I give it the highest possible rating: 1 and a 1/2 stars out of 10."

A couple of questions. Maybe Friday, maybe just inline in the comments.
Would love to come see it, but the distance won't allow.
Your pilot is ten years old. Do you know if the others are of similar age? Is there an age where you "give up" on selling it and are willing to go this route? I assume that if there was still a reasonable chance of getting it made, you wouldn't be doing this.
Also, is this the type of thing that Teresa Ganzel is doing these days, or does she have a history with the writer/director? Maybe even cast in the same role in the pilot (or if it is old enough, was cast as the daughter and now playing the mother)?

You always insist on putting these things on when I'm not in LA :) Good luck. Hope it goes well.

Teresa gets plenty of work these days, both in the theater (I have no idea of her history with the writer or director) and doing voice work for animation, including a variety of work for Pixar (including "Inside Out"), even the occasional movie. More power to her.

And, having seen it tonight, I can say that Teresa does some physical comedy in the show that would make Gilda Radnor proud.
